Can I seed in late fall or winter so grass will automatically grow in the spring? |
Dormant seeding is fine; however, seed should be planted so there is good seed to soil contact. In the event we get early snow, do not plant the seed over the snow. In warmer regions seeding is better done in the spring.

Do I have to rake up the grass clippings or can they remain on the lawn? |
Grass clippings left on the lawn only become a problem if they are too thick. If you mow the lawn before the grass gets overly tall, most of the clippings will not be sufficient to warrant raking.

How often should I water newly planted trees and shrubs? |
